You really can’t beat the beauty of blossoming trees. They are such a breath of fresh air after a long, cold winter. I wish they would last all year, but the season for blossoms is short. If you have ever thought about doing a session in an orchard, now is the time to get your date lined up.
Here are three things you should know when scheduling a session in the orchard:
- The light needs to be just right. The soft, airy feel of blossoming trees looks best when paired with soft airy light. Soft airy light comes with the sunrise and sunset – that’s when you want to schedule your photo shoot. Be prepared to get up early or keep the kids up a little late. It’ll be worth it when you see how beautiful your images turn out.
- Like I mentioned above, the season for blossoms is short. The orchard is beautiful any time of year, but if you want the trees to be in full bloom, you need to schedule them at the right time. Typically here in Logan, the blossoms are in full bloom during the first couple of weeks in May.
- The orchard works well for any type of session. Family photos, senior portraits a child session, baptism photos, or a session with friends are all all great types of session to schedule in the orchard. If it is something you’ve always wanted to do, don’t hesitate. Schedule it now and give yourself something to remind yourself that spring is on it’s way!
The forecast may show snow with now end in sight, but I promise it will end! A spring in full bloom will be here before you know it. If you love blossoms, don’t let time slip by without scheduling a session.
