It was time for the Gomm Family’s yearly photo shoot. I look forward to it every year. This time, Christina asked me if she could bring Grandma and Grandpa along. I love that she did!

You could tell how much the kiddos love their grandparents.

Adding grandparents to a session always changes the dynamic in the best way. I loved capturing those in-between moments—Grandpa holding a tiny hand, Grandma getting an unexpected hug, the kids laughing at a shared inside joke.

During the session I was having flashbacks to the first session I did with the Gomm Family. The kiddos were just itty bitty. We spent a large part of the session playing dinosaurs to help the kids feel at ease. It’s a little sad to see that they are growing up so fast, but also fun to see their personalities grow and develop.

We chose a beautiful spot in Cache Valley Utah to highlight the beautiful green summer and a little mountain peek-a-boo backdrop. The light that evening was just right—soft, golden, and flattering for everyone.

I’m so glad we were able to freeze this stage for the Gomm Family. These are the kinds of images that only grow more valuable with time, the ones you’ll look back on years from now and think, I’m so glad we took those pictures.

Thanks, Gomm Family!
