As a photographer, I often wonder if my clients see a session the way I do. To me, it’s never just about taking pictures — it’s about telling a piece of each family’s story. A story of that particular moment in time.
Because of that, I put a lot of pressure on myself to capture their story authentically and in a way that feels like them.
Nothing makes me happier than hearing from a client that I got it right. After this year’s session, Shayla messaged me and said, “I swear, one of my favorite parts of summer now is getting photos back from you — it’s like Christmas morning, but better.” That kind of feedback is what makes it all worth it!
This summer, the Shearer family met me at one of my favorite spots in the Utah mountains — Tony Grove.
The Shearers came ready to laugh, explore, and simply enjoy the time together.
Perhaps my favorite part was watching two of my favorite guys, Dallin and Declan together.
Dallin is the best big brother. You can tell he always has a watchful eye for Declan and is teaching him all the things a big brother should.
We played and wandered and climbed on the big rocks. It was a beautiful evening spent in the mountains.
Thank you, Shearer Family!
